Read an Astrological Chart in Just Five Minutes

Do you love astrology but just don’t have the time? Some think that having an astrological hobby means poring over mathematical equations and charts for hours. But your don’t have to spend tons of time looking at an astrological chart. You can actually read an astrological chart in just five minutes! This is a skill each of us should have to benefit our lives.

Begin by noticing what house and sign the Sun is in. Both the house and the sign the house is in will affect you, as you’ll carry both traits. So if you have Pisces in your Fifth house, then read not only about Pisces, but also read about the Leo Sun, as this will tell you a bit about yourself as well.

Then look at where the Moon is. The Moon tells us about our emotions and how we feel them and express them. Some people have very intense emotions and others have more gentle temperaments when it comes to their emotional makeups. Just like the Sun, read both the house and the sign for the Moon. Now notice the difference between your Sun and your Moon. Are they both fire signs? Are the Sun and the Moon close together? Do they seem to compliment each other – or are they in opposition to each other? This will tell you even more about the inner workings of your persona, as the Sun is your male persona and the Moon is your female persona. Having them be in balance with each other is critical. One of them most likely is going to be stronger than another.

Find Venus in your chart and read more about this planet. Venus will tell you about love, passion and romance in your astrological chart. Everyone expresses this differently. Read both the house and the sign that Venus is in. If you have Venus in Gemini, your love style will be very flirtatious and you will most likely be called a social butterfly by many in your life. But if your Venus is in Cancer, your love style will be very nurturing and you’ll be more of a homebody.

Mars in your chart will tell you about someone’s drive, ambition, passion and how they express anger. Some people see these as “bad” things and they don’t want to know more about them – but these are important things to know about. Understanding your personal drive is so useful. Some people have lots of drive and ambition and other people simply don’t. Someone with Mars in Scorpio will also express anger with a great deal of passion and intensity. But someone with Mars in Capricorn will express anger with more calculation and planning, like making a chess move.

Saturn is also an important planet to look at in your astrological chart. This will tell you what you feel limits you. Again, you’ll look at the house and the sign. Notice any planets that are near or in the same house or sign that Saturn is in, as they will be limited by Saturn. Saturn is a heavy planet that weighs down others and causes restrictions. If Venus is near Saturn, then Venus (the planet of love) will somehow have some type of restriction in expressing love. Another interpretation to this is that the person with this chart will fall in love with someone much older, hence more restrictive towards them.
